Watch out periodontitis

The main cause of periodontitis is plaque. This film on the teeth contains bacteria which can be found on the gums and in particular under the gums. The bacteria in this film produce different damaging substances which cause an inflammation of the gums. The gums start to swell and bleed and periodontal pockets begin to form. If treatment is not started immediately -– informing and educating the patient about correct maintenance and removal of the plaque, polishing of the teeth and optimising of oral hygiene – a further increase of these plaque bacteria in the periodontal pockets of the gums cannot be avoided.

The term periodontosis in its’ most common form is usually used in the wrong context. More common is periodontitis, the inflammatory form of jaw disorder, Bacterial plaque is the main cause. Other causes such as a poor immune system and other favourable factors, e.g. hormonal imbalance, should not be underestimated. Smokers are especially susceptible to periodontitis due to interference in the blood circulation of the oral mucosa. However the main problem remains a lack of or insufficient oral hygiene.

Pain-free for a long time

Periodontal diseases are insidious because the patient is pain-free for a long time; and then, all of a sudden, his teeth become loose and mostly have to be pulled. We will introduce you to professional and efficient oral hygiene. Healthy nutrition and individual prophylaxis can prevent periodontitis. And in serious cases our additional holistic-homeopathic-TCM-Treatments are very successful. In persistent cases (resistant to standard therapy), both holistic (homeopathic) and TCM treatments are possible and very successful.
Healthy gums are especially important in order to avoid disorders of the entire organism. It has been proven for a long time that oral bacterial flora influences cardiac diseases. Certain types of bacteria from the oral cavity have been found in the vascular deposits of patients with arteriosclerosis. Jaw bones which have been lost due to periodontitis are not necessarily lost forever. Modern methods can help to rebuild them.

Vektor

Vektor is the most modern treatment developed by Dr. Rainer Hahn, outside lecturer at the University of Tübingen/Germany. Vektor is an ultrasound-powered device which works both gently and pain free directly in the pocket of the gums. The Vektor-treatment is being used successfully in our clinic. Afterwards we also apply laser-treatment to remove the bacterial foci which have caused the periodontitis. With regular check-ups and bacteria examination periodontitis can be eliminated permanently
