The main cause of periodontitis is plaque. This film on the teeth contains bacteria which can be found on the gums and in particular under the gums. The bacteria in this film produce different damaging substances which cause an inflammation of the gums. The gums start to swell and bleed and periodontal pockets begin to form. If treatment is not started immediately -– informing and educating the patient about correct maintenance and removal of the plaque, polishing of the teeth and optimising of oral hygiene – a further increase of these plaque bacteria in the periodontal pockets of the gums cannot be avoided.
Look perfect with veneers
Veneers are very thin ceramic layers applied to the surface of your teeth. They look so natural that sometimes even experts cannot distinguish them from natural tooth substance. This technique was developed by an American dentist to enhance the smile of film stars while shooting movies. Today it is impossible to imagine life without veneers, thanks to the rapid developments of ceramic material. They are very aesthetic and have many other advantages: With their extreme durability they are not susceptible to distortion, discolouring, or brittleness. Veneers are extremely well tolerated by your gums and at the same time they are more minimally invasive than standard crowns.
Bleaching for white teeth
What is bleaching? Lightening or bleaching is the most simple and gentle method for your teeth to show a healthy and dazzling smile. The Carbamide Peroxide, which we are applying, is not harmful for your teeth. Only the discolouring of your teeth, which has taken place over the years, will be washed away from the surface of the teeth. Your personal wishes of how the colour of your teeth should be, can be achieved – if necessary – by several treatments.
