OZONE TREATMENT in dentistry

Ozone can be specifically applied where it is needed to kill germs, bacteria, fungi and viruses within minutes and without any side effects. This treatment is painfree and takes effect immediately. Even when a patient had been suffering for years from periodontitis he feels a significant improvement after the first treatment. Increasingly applied for medical treatment this oxygen O3 is especially effective for bad breath and to stop gums from bleeding. And not only that. The oxygen treatment has a bleaching effect on the teeth. As a caries germ killer it acts to prevent dental caries which is a wonderully simple way to prevent caries. The oral bacterial flora is normalized and germs leading to infections cannot survive.

Ozone is applied for:

  • Mild to very severe gum disease
  • Caries prevention
  • Pain after surgery
  • Herpes, aphtae and fungi
  • Better and faster healing after dental implants
  • Halitosis (tongue disinfection)
  • Swelling
  • Tooth whitening

Ozone therapy has been known and applied very successfully by therapists all over the world for approximately 80 years. Millions of people have been treated with ozone therapy in the most different ways: for example injections in muscular tissue, subcutaneous (under the skin), intravenous and intra-arterial, in combination with blood as small autohaemotherapy. In special cases such as injections e.g. in trigger points, in joints, around joints or under growths (open legs), in and around varicose veins, in spider veins and cellulite areas.

Allowing for accurate dosing, never before was it possible to apply a more intensive ozone treatment. This therapy comprises ozone to be added to the haemoglobin (red blood pigment = oxygen transport system) and to the blood plasma (oxygen transport system with physical solution) applying excess pressure in an infusion bottle. Through this principle ozone and oxygen are absorbed in much greater quantities. As a result, while flowing back in the vascular system, larger quantities also reach the site of damage in the human body.

How does ozone affect the human body?
  • Ozone helps the liver to detoxify.
  • It helps to break down fats (cholesterol and triglycerides). These fats are known as a detrimental factor for the blood vessels (heart attack, stroke).
  • It improves the cell metabolism – the motor for the generation of energy of the body.
  • Ozone breaks down and reduces the uric acid level, the number one cause of gout and a damaging factor for the vessels.
  • It increases the flow of blood, reduces circulatory disturbances and prevents new disturbances.
  • It reduces the agglutination of red blood corpuscles distinctly, improving the oxygen transport and the flow of blood.
  • It supplies the tissue with oxygen and increases the intake of oxygen at the same time. It destroys many types of bacteria, viruses and fungi and prevents their regeneration.

Areas of ozone therapy application:
  • Arthrosis of all joints
  • Arteriosclerosis of the coronary vessels (cardiac pain under strain or rest)
  • Damages of the liver caused by alcohol or virus infections.
  • Circulatory disorders of the arms, legs (open legs) and brain
  • Follow-up treatment after strokes (also paralysis)
  • Rheumatic disorders i.e. muscular rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, lumbago, sciatic pain syndrome
  • Increased uric acid level (gout)
  • Slow physical recovery after serious illnesses
  • As additional therapy for cancer treatment (proven success)
  • All sorts of skin disorder (acne, eczema)
  • Eye trouble caused by circulatory disorders
  • Migraines
  • Various types of dizziness
  • General feeling of exhaustion
Ozone is a special modification of the element oxygen and has three atoms per molecule. It oxidizes very easily and therefore is referred to as an active oxygen. Ozone is a natural component of the atmosphere.
